Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Celebrate and honor the courage of the men (and the women who supported and encouraged them) who drafted a prelude to a very long list of the crimes committed by King George and the parliament against the American Colonies, and morphed into a vision of America.
Celebrate that this call for freedom from tyranny, by war if need be, transformed itself into the underlying principles that created the vision of a country where equity, integrity, and kindness of behavior and thought are offered to all, without discrimination. A country in which race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, social standing, or country of origin, do not define or inhibit the ability of one to live a full and possible life.
Celebrate what the Declaration of Independence stands for in our minds and hearts, and Hold Light that we, as individuals, as a people, as a government and as a country are willing and able to fulfill that vision.
Happy 250th Anniversary to “We the people” and to the Declaration of Independence which became a vision for a new world!
